R1-6a In-Street Pedestrian Crossing

The In-Street Pedestrian Crossing (R1-6a) sign may be used to remind road users of laws regarding right-of-way at an unsignalized pedestrian crosswalk. Unlike most post-mounted signs on the road, The In-Street Pedestrian Crossing sign is typically mounted in the roadway at the crosswalk location. It is not intended for use as an educational display. This sign is a vertical rectangle with a black legend and border (except for the red STOP pictogram) on a white background, surrounded by an outer yellow background area.
